On development of automated rotational gamma-therapy apparatus to irradiate with variable parameters

Description
The possibility of rotational irradiation with a varied source velocity is discussed. The rotational irradiation having all the advantages of a multi-field irradiation, at the same time allows rather easily to make the process automatic. A mock-up of a rotational gamma-therapy facility with a two-motor differential drive and a device for the velocity programmed control is described. The equation to calculate the velocity of the drive shaft and the conditions of stabilizing the rotation of the drive at low velocities are given
