Application of radioanalytical technique to understand the ion exchange reaction using 82Br as a tracer isotope
Description
In the present investigation radiotracer isotope 82Br has been efficiently applied to understand the ion exchange reaction for different concentrations of exchangeable ions in the external medium. The initial rate of bromide ion exchanged in millimoles/min increases with increase in concentration of exchangeable bromide ion in the solution, thereby resulting in decrease in energy of activation (KJ/Mole). The results will be useful in characterisation of various industrial grade ion exchangers for which the radioanalytical technique was efficiently applied. (author)
