Calculation of neutron flux and reactivity by perturbation theory at high order

Description

A high order pertubation theory is studied, independent of time, applied to integral parameter calculation of a nuclear reactor. A pertubative formulation, based on flux difference technique, which gives directy the reactivity and neutron flux up to the aproximation order required, is presented. As an application of the method, global pertubations represented by fuel temperature variations, are used. Tests were done aiming to verify the relevancy of the approximation order for several intensities of the pertubations considered. (E.G.)

Abstract (Portuguese)

Faz-se um estudo da teoria de perturbacao de altas ordens, independente do tempo, aplicada ao calculo de parametros integrais de um reator nuclear. Apresenta-se uma formulacao perturbativa, baseada na tecnica de diferenca de fluxo, a qual fornece diretamente a reatividade e fluxo de neutrons ate a ordem de aproximacao desejada. Foi utilizada como aplicacao do metodo, perturbacoes globais representadas por variacoes de temperatura do combustivel. Testes foram feitos para se verificar, ate que ordem de aproximacao sao relevantes as contribuicoes de ordens mais altas, para diversas intensidades das perturbacoes consideradas. (E.G.)
