Heavy water management in reactor systems (Preprint No. PM-11)
Description
Experience gained in operation of Rajasthan Atomic Power Station Unit-1 has helped significantly in reducing heavy water losses in RAPS unit-2. Based on operating experience at Rajasthan Atomic Power Station unit-1 and -2, further modifications were carried out at Madras Atomic Power Station. Subsequently basic design changes were incorporated from Narora Atomic Power Project onwards to have much better control on heavy water losses. The major modifications incorporated in RAPS-2, MAPS-1, and MAPS-2 are enumerated. Further modifications for future reactors are suggested. (author). 5 figs
