Extraction of Am(III) and rare earth elements from nitric acid solutions by dibutyl(diphenylphosphinylmethyl)phosphonate

Description
Extraction of nitric acid and microamounts of americium, yttrium, rare earth (R = La-Nd, Sm-Lu) and some other elements (E = Sc, Th, Bi, Zr, Hf, U(VI)) nitrates from HNO3 aqueous solutions by solutions of dibutyl(diphenylphosphinylmethyl)-phosphonate in dichloroethane was studied using the methods of mass spectrometry with inductively bound plasma, potentiometric titration and radiometric analysis. Stoichiometry of extracted solvates was ascertained, effective extraction constants were calculated. It is shown that the extractant studied features a high extractive capacity towards Am(III) and rare earths
Abstract (Russian)
С использованием методов масс-спектрометрии с индуктивно связанной плазмой, потенциометрического титрования и радиометрического анализа изучена экстракция азотной кислоты и микроколичеств нитратов америция, иттрия, редкоземельных элементов (R = La-Nd, Sm-Lu), а также ряда других элементов (E = Sc, Th, Bi, Zr, Hf, U(VI)) из водных растворов HNO3 растворами дибутил(дифенилфосфинилметил)-фосфоната в дихлорэтане. Установлена стехиометрия экстрагируемых сольватов, рассчитаны эффективные константы экстракции.
