Description
Preliminary reports had demonstrated, by saturation technique in ESR, the capability of cysteamine to inhibit oxygen transport in phospholipidic model membranes. This methodology was applied to different classes of radioprotective agents (aminothiol derivatives, nitriles) or cysteamine catabolites and revealed the specificity of aminothiol derivatives in such a mechanism of transport inhibition
Abstract (French)
Des travaux anterieurs ont montre, par la technique de saturation en RPE, que la cysteamine presentait la propriete d'inhiber le transport de l'oxygene a travers des membranes phospholipidiques modeles. La meme methodologie, appliquee a des analogues fonctionnels (autres radioprotecteurs) ou structuraux de la cysteamine met en evidence le role specifique des radioprotecteurs aminothiols (cysteamine, WR-1065) dans ce phenomene d'inhibition, dont sont exclus les derives nitriles, l'ethanolamine et les metabolites de la cysteamineAdditional details
