Study of magnetic structure of neptunium compounds: Np As, Np Sb, Np Se et Np Ru2 Si2
Description
Magnetic behavior and localization of 5f electrons in actinide compounds is studied experimentally by Moessbauer spectroscopy and neutron diffraction. Binary actinide compounds with a NaCl structure are examined and properties of U, Pu and Np monopnictides and monochalcogenides are recalled. Results of neutron diffraction by NpAs and NpSb are discussed and results of magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, Moessbauer spectroscopy and neutron diffraction measurements on NpSe and NpTe are presented. Magnetic properties of NpRu2Si2 are also presented. Heavy fermion system electronic and magnetic properties are described and theory is discussed. Electronic and magnetic properties of CeCu2 Si2, CeRu2Si2 and URu2Si2 are compared to NpRu2Si2 which has the same crystal structure

Pour l'etude du comportement magnetique de la localisation des electrons 5f des composes d'actinides, on utilise deux dispositifs experimentaux: la spectroscopie Moessbauer et la diffraction elastique de neutrons. On examine les composes binaires d'actinides ayant une structure de type NaCl, on nous rappelle les proprietes connues des monopnictures et des monochalcogenures d'uranium, de neptunium et de plutonium. On discute les resultats des experiences realisees en diffraction de neutrons sur des monocristaux d'arseniure et d'antimoniure de neptunium (NPAs et NpSb) puis on presente les resultats de mesures de susceptibilite, d'aimantation, de spectroscopie Moessbauer et de diffraction de neutrons sur le seleniure et le tellurure de neptunium (NPSe et NpTe), ainsi que les proprietes magnetiques de NpRu2Si2. On decrit les proprietes magnetiques et electroniques des systemes de ''fermions lourds''. Plusieurs remarques theoriques sont faites pour essayer de comprendre ces systemes. On decrit les proprietes electroniques et magnetiques de CeCu2Si2, CeRu2Si2 et URu2Si2 afin de definir le cadre de notre etude de NpRu2Si2 qui a la meme structure cristallographique que les composes de cerium et d'uraniumFiles
