Shielded storage for sealed sources, especially for medical purposes

The shielded storage consists of a rack in which at least one box is fitted with front and rear shieldings. At least one storage space is also provided in each box between the front and the rear shieldings. The front face of each box is provided with a fold-down handle with replaceable labels. Each box is provided with a stop produced in the rear end of the box. With the box pulled out, the stop is propped against at least one pin slidingly fitted in rack openings. The storage is designed such that only one box can be pulled out for radionuclide removal or insertion. The staff is thus only exposed to radiation reflected from the surrounding material, this only due to the sources stored in that one box. (J.B.). 2 figs
