Moessbauer investigation of the 57Fe hyperfine field in Y(Fe1-xCox)3 intermetallic compounds

Description
The 57Fe magnetic hyperfine field Hhf at 77 K and 293 K and the lattice parameters c and a of the intermetallic compound Y (Fe1-xCox)3 have been investigated as a function of the Co concentration for 0.0≤x≤0.99 by Moessbauer spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction, respectively. The magnetic hyperfine field Hhf shows a Slater-Pauling type concentration dependence with a maximum at x=0.4 and a strong decrease towards high Co concentrations. (orig.)
