Description
The review article summarizes coding techniques of Vlasov simulations for fusion plasmas. Numerical methods, parallelization models, and optimization techniques are explained both for local flux tube and global gyrokinetic Vlasov (or Eulerian) codes. Advanced coding techniques such as the shared cache optimization on multi-core platforms and the communication overlap techniques are also presented. (J.P.N.)
