Resonances at electron scattering by 10B above nucleon emission threshold

Description

An attempt has been made to reveal resonances in the cross section of electron inelastic scattering by a 10B nucleus. The experiments are carried out on an electron linear accelerator with the initial energy of electrons 140 MeV. The energy resolution is 0.4% which amounts to 500 keV for the spectra under investigation. The target represents a disc pressed of the powder-like enriched 10B isotope. 11B(approximately 15%) is the ground impurity in the target. Four spectra of scattered electrons have been measured at the angles of 70, 80 90 and 105 deg. The spectra of electrons scattered at the angles 70 deg and 80 deg show the peaks at the energies 8.26; 9.0; 9.7 and 11.3 MeV which have been predicted by calculations based on allowing for the contribution of triangular Feynman diagrams to the reaction amplitude
