A neutron scattering chamber with a high temperature resolution

Creators

Description

Experimental techniques are presented for the construction of a neutron scattering chamber which allows high resolution temperature measurements (ΔT<10-3 K) in a range of 370 K<T<770 K. The long-time drift is <10-2 K/10h. In addition to its application of temperature variation a magnetic field up to 1 kG and the possibility of application of low tensile stresses on the sample under investigation are provided. (Auth.)
