Photoproduction of π+-mesons on sup(64,66)Zn isotopes

Description
Photoproduction of π+ mesons is investigated by means of a magnetic spectrometer and a telescope counter. Energy spectra of π+ mesons escaping at an angle of THETAsub(h.p.)=90 deg in 400 MeV electron interaction with sup(64, 66)Zn nuclei are measured in the range of pion energy from 35 to 125 MeV. The cross section of π+ meson photoproduction is shown to correlate with the thickness of a surface layer of proton (charge) density distribution in nuclei of Zn isotopes
