Kinetics of the reaction of (4-nitropheynl)nitromethane with tetramethylguanidine in toluene
Description
The proton and deuteron transfer reactions of (4-nitrophenyl)-nitromethane and tetramethylguanidine were reported in the past to have a high isotopic rate ratio of 45 in toluene. This was found to be due to residual water. Isotopic-exchange was found not to be kinetically important
