End nozzle for fuel assembly of nuclear reactors with elastic side walls

Description

The end nozzle is constituted by a rigid frame and a perforated end plate connected by side walls. The end nozzle is guided in translation in respect to reactor core structure. The side walls can be elastically deformed under a compression from the fuel assembly on the end nozzle. Superposed elastic plates connected by staggered tenons are preferred for side walls

Abstract (French)

la piece d'extremite comporte une plaque perforee, un cadre rigide et des parois laterales reliant le cadre rigide a la plaque perforee, ladite piece d'extremite etant guidee en translation par rapport aux structures du coeur du reacteur. Les parois laterales sont deformables elastiquement sous l'effet d'un effort de compression de l'assemblage exerce sur la piece d'extremite selon l'axe longitudinal de l'assemblage. De preference, ces parois laterales sont constituees par des lamelles elastiques superposees, reliees entre elles par des tenons disposes en quinconce
