Duality and Froissart saturation

Description
The dual approach to the pomeron is discussed. The arguments are given which show that it can be realised on the basis of a dual analytic model and the method of continued unitarity. The hehaviour of the dual analytic model in the region between the elastic and inelastic cuts is found to be determined by the Regge traectory with α(0)>1. This contribution calculated by means of the continued unitarity condition leads to the Froissart saturation of hadron processes
