Description
Extraction behaviour of Am(III) by a strong cation exchanger viz. dinonyl naphthalenesulphonic acid (HD) in the presence of tris bipyridyl (2,2,2) cryptand (L) has been studied in the forward as well as backward direction in a wide range of acidity (pH 6.0 to 2M[H+]). Equilibrium is attained in the two phase system at a rate dependent on the hydrogen ion concentration in the aqueous phase. (author). 2 refs., 2 figs
