Description
1 - Description of program or function: W-Shielder calculates shielding thickness of water for any photon emitting radionuclide between 0.5 to 10 MeV. 2 - Methods: W-Shielder assumes the radionuclide(s) as a point source and uses Taylor's notation for build up factor to calculate shielding thickness. 3 - Restrictions on the complexity of the problem: - W-Shielder works in the photon energy range of 0.5 to 10 MeV. - Suitable for radionuclides/sources of small dimensions.
