Description

A great number of /sup 99m/Tc-IDA derivates have been employed in clinical practice for the detection of biliary tract disorders. However, the first generation of IDA derivatives yielded poor results especially in the case of impaired hepatocyte function. In-vitro and in-vivo studies of new derivatives indicated Tc-Disida as the hepatobiliary agent of choice. More recently, other radiopharmaceuticals such as trimethyl-bromo-IDA have been employed with better results in comparison with Disida. In this paper the authors report on preliminary experience with a new IDA derivative in patients with high bilirubin levels
