Summary of design concepts study of a special nuclear material cargo vehicle

Description
Concepts were formulated to provide a basis for the design of a secure vehicle for surface transport of special nuclear materials. The design features are to provide for vehicle immobilization and penetration resistance consistent with U.S. Atomic Energy Commission requirements for increased protection against theft or diversion. The study includes objectives, parameters, and a preliminary estimate of cost.
