Accelerating system simulation of U-200T isochronous cyclotron

Description
A project accelerating system of the isochronous cyclotron U-200T is a plane resonance line with panel frequency change. Experimental investigations of this structure was conducted on the 1:5 scale model at subsequent complication of its geometry. A full testing calculation of the resonance frequency and system tuning range as conducted at each stage of simulation. A comparative accuracy analysis of different analytical formulae for computations of wave impedance of the plane resonance line in relation to the experimental data was conducted. The investigations allowed the geometric dimensions and RF parameters of the accelerating system to be finally defined. 10 refs.; 10 figs
