Fuel needs analysis of Kartini reactor

Description

Fuel needs analysis of Kartini Reactor has been done to ensure the availability of fuel in supporting reactor operation. Completion methodology is done by calculating the neutron multiplication factor (criticality) using Trigap program. Calculation using maximum assumption of 1440 hours of operation/year, an average assumption of 720 hours of operation/year, minimum assumption of 360 hours of operation/year which is operated with full power 100 kW. From the results of criticality calculations can be seen that as many as 71 fuels that existing in the core of Kartini reactor now can be used to support operation of the reactor until year 2018 with assumption maximum hours of operation, up to 2022 for average hours of operation and up to 2031 for minimum hours of operation.
