CIAMDA 87. An index to the literature on atomic and molecular collision data relevant to fusion research

Description

CIAMDA, the Computer Index to Atomic and Molecular Collision Data relevant to controlled fusion research, was designed to provide a compact international reference index to the literature on atomic and molecular collision data of interest to fusion researchers and to atomic and molecular physicists. The present issue includes references to the literature from the cut-off date of CIAMDA 80 to August 1986. Some earlier references and some articles of particular importance that had not been included in CIAMDA 80 as well as some references to articles to be published soon are included in the present issue for completeness. CIAMDA comprises information on all collisions which are of interest for an understanding of the microscopic processes found in deuterium-tritium (DT) plasmas in currently designed magnetic confinement fusion devices. This includes not only collisions between the hydrogen isotopes, electrons and photons, but also collisions between these species and impurity ions, atoms and selected molecules. In addition to the most evident low-Z and high-Z elements such as C, O, Mo, W and Fe, the list of impurities includes many other species which have been either detected in various magnetically confined fusion devices or added to fusion plasmas for diagnostic purposes. The collision energies have been restricted to those which may reasonably be found in fusion plasmas and in beam heating of plasmas. The index includes references to journals, university report series and industrial archival journals. The number of journals cited totals 133. Individual articles in published review books have been included when appropriate. CIAMDA consists of five sections - major data references, data index for collisions between two partners, bibliography to the data index, references not included in the data index, and author index
