Description
In this paper, a simple and exactly solvable model is used to investigate electronic band structure of GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs superlattice in a periodic magnetic field. The behavior of electrons in three dimensions is studied in detail. We find that electrons not only form band structure along Z direction, but also form some permitted bands along y direction, while the energies along x direction are still continuous. Moreover, the characteristics of electronic band structure and its formative mechanism are discussed
