Our nuclear future: renewal and responsibility. 37th Annual CNS conference and 41st CNS/CNA student conference

Description

The Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS) held its 37th Annual Conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on June 4-7, 2017, combined with the 41st Annual CNS/CNA Student Conference. The theme of the conference was 'Our Nuclear Future: Renewal and Responsibility' attracted approximately 400 delegates, including 80 students. This conference provided a forum for exchanging views, ideas and information relating to the application and advancement of nuclear science and technology, and for discussing energy-related issues in general. The conference featured plenary sessions with invited speakers to address broad industrial, commercial and research-related developments in nuclear science and technology. Technical sessions with subject-matter experts from utilities, suppliers, the regulator, academia, federal laboratories and agencies to present the latest advancements in nuclear science and technology.Exhibits with industrial leaders showcased their latest nuclear products and technology. To facilitate interaction between experts and the future generation of nuclear scientists, engineers, and specialists, the 41st Annual CNS/CNA Student Conference was held in parallel at the same venue. The Student Conference featured a poster session, at which university students showcased their latest research findings and advancements.
