X-ray tube
Description
A hot cathode X-ray tube is described. The thin metal output window is partially screened by a thicker shaped disc inside the tube. This reduces the heat dissipated by absorption in the thin window thus allowing more soft X-rays to pass through. The harder X-rays still emerge after partial absorption by the thick disc. (T.S.E.T.)
