Cryogenic resonance-electron Moessbauer spectroscopy with a helium-filled proportional counter

Description

As studied in our previous works,a proportional counter filled with pure helium gas works well at low temperatures near 4.2 K. The helium-filled proportional counter (HFPC) provides us with method to detect nuclear radiations at low temperatures. A typical application of this counter is resonance-electron Moessbauer spectroscopy (REMS) at low temperatures (<∼30 K). In this article some examples of REMS measurements with HFPC are given. Como estudado anteriomente, um contador proporcional cheio de puro gas helio, trabalha melhor a baixas temperaturas perto de 4.2 K. O contador proporcional cheio de helio (HFPC) nos fornece um novo metodo para detectar radiacao nuclear a baixas temperaturas. Uma aplicacao tipica desse contador e a espectroscopia Moessbauer de resonancia eletronica (REMS) a baixas temperaturas (<∼30 K). Nesse artigo alguns exemplos de medidas REMS com HFPC sao mostrados
