Clinical evaluation of renogram as a method of the follow-up study after irradiation treatment for carcinoma of uterine cervix

Renogram is performed for follow-up study in 167 cases of cancer of uterine cervix. 80 of 167 cases are treated by surgery followed by irradiation and 83 are treated primarily by irradiation. 74% of post-operative irradiation cases shows abnormal in renogram after surgery and 52% of primary irradiation cases shows abnormal before irradiation. Renogram after post-operative irradiation shows improvement in 68% and in 42% of primary irradiation cases. These results indicated that the renogram is a useful procedure in follow-up study for the cases of cancer of uterine cervix. (author)
