Description

Electron impact spectroscopy at high energy, has been used to obtain the absolute generalized oscillator strength (GOS) for N2 as a function of momentum transfer. Some rules of the GOS were employed to obtain the X-ray incoherent scattering factor, S(K) as a function of K. Comparison of the experiments with the results of a near Hartree-Fock molecular wave function calculation of S(K) revealed the effect of electron correlation on the compared quantity. (A.C.A.S.)

Abstract (Portuguese)
