Present status of fuel development for various types of reactor
Description
Present status of fuel development for LWR, FBR and other types of reactor was reviewed. For LWR fuel, followings are described: Development of remedy fuel, thermal and structural aspects of fuel behavior and fission gas release, and cladding behavior under LOCA and reactivity-induced accident conditions. For FBR fuel, fabrication and irradiation testing of 'JOYO' fuel and chemical performance of cladding are described. Fuels for other types of reactor includes HTGR fuel, Th fuel and fuels for research reactor. (author)

「燃料工学」研究専門委員会は、核燃料の分野における基礎研究と実用研究との関連を明らかにし、今後の研究活動に有効な知見を得ることを目的として1981年4月に発足した。その後の2年間において9回の委員会を開催し、当初の目的に沿った研究報告、情報交換を活発に展開してきた。本稿では種炉型燃料の研究開発の現状に焦点を当てた。軽水炉および高速炉の燃料に多くの誌数を充てることになったが、高温ガス炉燃料、Th燃料、研究炉燃料についても重要な事項を記載した。(著者)Additional details
