Studies for achievement of the extreme low q region of 40M SANS Instrument at HANARO and calculation of neutron wavelength resolution using silver behenate (AgBE)

Description

The neutron flux and minimum low q value was calculated by the VITESS simulation when the advanced beam focussing method was applied in current designed 40M SANS instrument at HANARO. The simulation was performed for the aperture typed multiple pinhole and multiple slit. For multiple pinhole, the neutron flux and minimum q value was calculated for various wavelengths and 3 pinhole sizes and, for multiple silt type, the neutron flux and minimum q value was calculated for various wavelengths and 6 silt widths. SANS experiments for various wavelengths was performed in 8 m SANS instrument at HANARO. The wavelength was verified by the comparison of q value for (001) bragg peak which is obtained from the 1D circular average of AgBE SANS data. The neutron wavelength resolution was calculated by the equation for SANS instrument resolution, and the results were compared with the those of TOF method
