Magnetic moments of the 11/2- states in 145,147,149Eu and paramagnetism in the system EuSm

Description
The g-factors of the 11/2- states in 145,147,149Eu were measured by the TDPAD method in metallic Sm-targets. The temperature dependence of the paramagnetism in the system 145EuSm follows strictly a Curie-Weiss law Bsub(eff) = B0[1+antiC/(μy-theta)] with C = C= -50(2)K and the ta = -29(5)K. Extrapolation to T→infinitely yields g(145Eu) = +1.356(8), g(147Eu) = +1.28(1) and g(149Eu) = +1.27(5). In addition, the quadruole coupling constant μypsilonsub(Q)=12.5(5) MHz, and a lower limit for the paramagnetic relaxation time tau = 1 μs was determined at room temperature for the 11/2- state of 145Eu in Sm. Mit der TDPAD-Methode wurden in metallischen Sm-Targets die g-Faktoren der 11/2- -Zustaende in 145,147,149Eu gemessen. Die Temperatur-Abhaengigkeit des Paramagnetismus im System 145EuSm befolgt streng ein Curie-Weis-Gesetz Bsub(eff) = B0[1+antiC/(T-theta)] mit C = -50(2) K und theta = -29(5) K. Die Extrapolation nach T→unendlich ergibt g(145Eu) = +1,356(8), g(147Eu) = +1,28(1) und g(149Eu) = +1,27(5). Zusaetzlich wurde fuer den 11/2- -Zustand von 145Eu in Sm bei Raumtemperatur die Quadrupol-Kopplungskonstante μypsilonsub(Q)=12,5(5) MHz und eine untere Grenze fuer die paramagnetische Relaxationszeit tau = 1 μs bestimmt.
