Genetic and biochemical characteristics of three different types of mutants of mammalian cells affected in adenosine kinase

  • 1. McMaster University, Hamilton

Description

Previous studies of cellular mutants resistant to various analogs initially selected are studied and their cross resistance patterns towards other nucleoside analogs and the affected cellular functions are examined. The cellular uptake of tritium-adenosine, tritium-tubercidin, and tritium-formycin by various cell lines is shown. Adenosine kinase activity in the mutant cell extracts are discussed. A table present the genetic and biochemical characteristics of different types of mutants affected in AK
