The study of nuclear track impact on the environment around NAPP

  • 1. Dept. of Physics, D.S. College, Aligarh (India)

Description

The atomic power plants release the trace amounts of radioactive fall outs, contaminating its neighbouring environment, imposing the health hazards and productivity losses. The radioactivity levels had been characterized in terms of various bio-physical and chemical parameters. The α - activity of heights between zero to 100 cms above the ground level at 5 separate hierarchy using SSNTD CR-39 which has been employed for the necessary calibration. The experimental findings on different bio-samples seems to match with the trend of radioactivity. (author)
