Description
The results of the study of gamma-radiolysis of Pu(6) alkaline water solutions saturated with air are presented. Radiation-chemical reduction of Pu(6) has been studied. It has been ascertained G[-Pu(6)] equals q.4 ion/100 eV irrespective of alkali concentration in the range from 1.3 to 6.9 mol/l. It has been detected that as a result of irradiation a finely dispersed suspension is formed and then-precipitate of Pu(4) hydroxide. Possible mechanism of radiolytic transformations is discussed
