Description
Soft X-ray magnetic circular dichroism has been measured at the U N4,5 and Fe L2,3 absorption edges of ferromagnetic UFe2. The orbital and spin magnetic moments of U 5f and Fe 3d electrons are evaluated by a sum-rule analysis of the XMCD data. It is confirmed that the U 5f orbital moment is parallel to the Fe 3d spin moment
