Study on containment spray test method for VVER unit
- 1. CNNC Key Laboratory on Nuclear Reactor Thermo Hydraulics Technology, Nuclear Power Institute of China, Sichuan Chengdu (China)
- 2. Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation, Jiangsu Lianyungang (China)
Description
In order to overcome the corrosion risks cased by containment spray test and shorten the construction period, a new containment spray test method was carried out for VVER unit. The resistance characteristics of spray-head and spray pipes were gained through experiments and then the spray parameters were obtained by coupling calculation. The experimental results shows that the parameters of the spray system under accident conditions, such as the spray state of the spray-head, the flow rate of the spray pump and the pressure of the spray-head, satisfy the design requirements.
