Investigation into mechanical properties of Ti-V-Nb-W alloys using simplex-centroid method
Description
Using the simplex-centroid method of experimental planning for investigating the strength limit and specific elongation of alloys of the Ti-V-Nb-W system with up to 12 wt% V+Nb+W content, it is possible on the basis of a few experiments to construct mathematical equations describing the dependence of the investigated properties on the alloy composition for temperatures of +20 and -1960C. From the results obtained composition-property diagrams can be constructed for any section of the investigated range of the Ti-V-Nb-W system and alloys selected with given strength/specific elongation properties at +20 and -1960C.
