Description

A feature of a hydrogen atom confined in a two-dimensional quantum well in the presence of an electric field is investigated. The binding energy of the confined hydrogen atom is calculated as a function of the confined potential radius and as a function of the intensity of an applied electric field. It is shown that the binding energy and the oscillator strength of the confined hydrogen atom are highly dependent on the confined potential radius and the intensity of an applied electric field.
