The study of the detection efficiency of the liquid scintillator for neutrino oscillation experiment

Description

In order to provide the criteria for the detector and trigger logical design of Taiwan Neutrino Oscillation (TEXNON) experiment, the relationship of the positron detection efficiency with the construction of the detector and the trigger model have been investigated. Correspondent results have been obtained, such as the cell size of 15 x 15 cm2, single cell deposited energy threshold set at 55 keV, the 5 x 5 and 7 x 7 cells for triggering gamma ray, the positron detection is about 60% and 70% respectively. This set of parameters is recommended as the better choose of the detector design. (authors)
