Correlation of Soil Moisture Content and Electric Resistivitiy for Subsurface Investigation Area

Description
A density and amount of water content of geotechnical parameters are important because they affect various engineering structures. The most precise and direct method of soil characterization is conventional borehole, but it is also the most time-consuming and expensive. While the electrical resistivity method is a fast, non-invasive, and low-cost method for predicting geotechnical parameters. The primary goal of this research is to establish a quantitative relationship between resistivity and moisture content in sandy and silty soils using borehole data. Moisture content and electrical resistivity values obtained in the field and laboratory show a non-linear relationship trend. (author)
