Interaction-set analysis in energy levels of 4H in cluster model
Description
Energy level calculations have been carried out, using variational procedure, for the 4H nucleus described a triton cluster plus a neutron in a relative P-state. The main concern is to achieve an understanding of the features of the anti-symmetrization effects with different sets of interaction parameters of w, m, b and h rather than to obtain precise agreement with experiment. The states 0-, 1- and 2- for T = 1 are obtained from the combination of l = 1 and S = 0, 1 for this two-cluster system using an improved nuclear two-body interaction and two-Gaussian A = 3 wavefunction. A good agreement with experiment is found for the energies of these states. It is concluded that 1- (S = 0) and 0- levels cannot be the sharp resonant states while any of the three sets of interaction parameters is used. A technique for progressively improving variational calculations is discussed. (author)
