ESR study of interaction of metal carbonyls, Fe(CO)5 and M(CO)6, with halogen-containing compounds in the presence of PPh3 and M(CO)5PPh3 (M=Cr, Mo, W)

Description

The EPR study has to shown the PPh3 introduction into the coordination sphere of iron, chromium, and molybdenum at photochemical interaction of carbonyls of these metals with CCl4 in the presence of PPh3. Substitution of CO groups by PPh3 in metal carbonyls results in growth of yields and activity of intermediate metal-containing particles responsible for the stage of organic radical generation. Primarily break of the metal-CO bond rather than the metal-PPh3 one takes place at photochemical decomposition of substituted chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten carbonyls
