Contribution to the study of the simultaneous emission phenomena in molecular gas lasers
Description
A selectively or simultaneously laser emission had been improved in a 12CO2-13CO2-N2-He laser. 12CO2 wavelength near 945 cm-1 (10,58 μm), 13CO2 wavelength near 895 cm-1 (11,17 μm). The effect of CO2 pressure, current intensity and isotopic enrichment in 13C on the phenomena has been studied by measuring gain of a sealed laser amplifier containing CO2 and its decomposition products (CO and O2). A theoretical model has been established. A good agreement between theory and experiment has been obtained. The generalization of the phenomena to non-isotopic molecular systems has been experimentally verified with a mixture of CO2 and N2O.(author)

Un phenomene d'emission selective ou simultanee a, ete mis en evidence dans un laser CO2-N2-He enrichi en carbone 13. Emission de 12CO2 vers 945 cm-1 (10,58 μm) de 13CO2 vers 895 cm-1 (11,17 μm). L'influence des divers parametres (pression de CO2, intensite de courant, concentration isotopique en carbone 13) sur le phenomene a ete etudie en mesurant le gain d'un amplificateur laser scelle contenant CO2 et ses produits de decomposition (CO et O2). Un modele theorique du phenomene a ete etabli. Un bon accord entre la theorie et l'experience a ete obtenu. La generalisation du phenomene a des systemes moleculaires non isotopiques a ete verifiee experimentalement sur un melange CO2-N2O. (auteur)Files
