Description

Methods for calculating various functional parameters of the mica convex curved crystal spectrograph (de Broglie geometry) are presented. The design parameters are determined using a ray-tracing method. The linear dispersion, the resolving power and line positions on the film and on the crystal are calculated. The diffracting efficiency of the mica convex curved crystal is calculated using the theoretical values of the integral reflection coefficient R and a relationship between η and R. A comparison between a flat and a convex crystal is made in terms of the ratio between the integral diffracting power and the incident radiation intensity. (Author)
