Description

In order to observe the amplified emission of rare earth complexes, three Nd(Ⅲ) complexes were successfully synthesized using three carboxylic acids (H3BTC, H6MTA and H6CCA) as ligands and characterized by elemental analysis, ICP and FTIR. Thermostability was studied by TGA spectra. Fluorescence properties were investigated by fluorescence spectra. The fluorescence spectra of the three complexes were composed of typical Nd(Ⅲ) ions in near infrared emissions, assigned to transitions of 4F3/24I9/2, 4F3/24I11/2 and 4F3/24I13/2. The results indicated that prepared Nd(Ⅲ) complexes showed considerable thermostability and well fluorescence properties, which would make them promising materials for laser active medium. (authors)
