Temperature dependence of ultrasound attenuation in normal metals

Description
Temperature dependences of longitudinal and transverse acoustic wave attenuation are studied by a noncontact method in a 4-500K temperature range. Contributions of different dissipation mechanisms to the temperature behaviour of sound attenuation are estimated including sound scattering by electrodes, phonons, dislocations and point defects
