Creep and activation energy of metal creep
Description
Analysis of the determination of activation energy of creep Qsub(c) for pure metals with fcc-structure is made. It is shown, that, in a wide range of temperatures and stresses there exists a certain range of stresses, where diffusion mechanism of deformation does not control the creep rate. Under the conditions temperature change affectS the rate of the secondary creep not only in conformity with the Boltzmann multiplier, but also according. to the change in index n, when the stress in creep equation is epsilon = Asub(exp) (-Qsub(p)/kT)x(σ/E)sup(n). Quantitative account of the effect of factor n(T) on Qsub(p) leads to the results, which make controversial Qsub(p) measurement in the range of low-tenperature deformation mechanism
