A brief review is given of the overall progress made in the field of radiolabelled blood cells and the directions in which the field is headed. The agents were discussed as 1) in vitro agents which label white blood cells and platelets and 2) in vivo agents which consist of antibodies specific for platelets and neutrophils. (UK)
