The influence of copper protoxide on the synthesis processes of high Tc Y Ba2 Cu3 O7-δ superconductors

  • 1. Institute of Applied Physics, Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Chisinau, (Moldova, Republic of)

Description

The dependences of intermediate phase concentrations on the heating temperatures of initial mixtures for two variants of high Tc Y Ba2 Cu3 O7 (123) synthesis were studied by means of thermogravimetry (DTA, DTG) and X-ray diffraction (RDA). As expected, Cu2 O lowers the temperature of maximum (123) content (∼ 590o C). The reciprocal relation between (123) and (143) phase concentrations have been observed for both syntheses of (123) superconducting phase with Tc > 80 K. RDA data show on the perovskite-like structure of (143) phase with ABO3 (Ba4 [Y Cu3] Ox) composition (a = 4.04 AA). (Author)
